Gunung Geulis (a beautiful mountain in local Sundanese) is located at an elevation of between 400 to 500 meters above sea level. From tee box 1 – most likely one of Asia&rsquos most impressive opening holes – your tee shot plunges a solid 60 meters onto a fairly narrow fairway dotted with 3 intimidating bunkers to the right and an OB area on the left. Club selection is important. The long and winding cart path takes you to the fairways for your second shot. This opening hole will surely determine the player&rsquos attitude on the remainder of this impressive course. The par 5 holes #6, #9, and #12 are long and amongst the most difficult holes on the course.

There are two 18 holes at Gunung Geulis. The Plantation Course at Emeralda is actually the front nine of the 18- holes North Course Jack Nicklaus was asked to design. The financial crisis that hit Indonesia in July 1997 halted completing the back nine.

Like most of the Nicklaus courses, the Plantation Course is a testing and challenging layout but a very enjoyable course set against the stunning foothill of Gunung Putri for golfers of all handicap levels.

According to Nicklaus himself, the course was designed to be friendly to the new and high handicap golfers, while from the championship tees, it&rsquos a stern test to the most seasoned golfers.

The Nicklaus – 9 was combined with Palmer&rsquos River – 9 to become the 18-hole layout that hosted the prestigious Johnnie Walker Super Tour 1997, bringing golfing giants like Faldo, Els, Parnevik, and Woosnam, And Asian golfing star Felix Casas to Emeralda.

Located in greater Jakarta, this club is easily accessible by the Jagorawi toll road and Cimanggis exit, taking approximately 30 minutes from Jakarta's Semanggi cloverleaf.

To get to Klub Golf Bogor Raya, you just have to drive for 40-minute from Jakarta, through Jagorawi Toll Road. The Golf Club is located on your left immediately after you have left the toll gate.

Lido Golf Club is situated in the centre of a natural paradise Lido Lake Resort that offers some of West Java's most beautiful idyllic settings, including the three great mountains of West Java – Mount Salak, Mount Gede and Mount Pangrango. Designed by world-class designer Ross C. Watson, this golf club has 18 holes with par 72.

At an altitude of over 700 meters above sea level, the 90-hectare area is part of the 1700-hectare Lido Lake Resort and is blanketed by breezy temperature. Members will greet the truest essence of West Java's nature. It has a very attractive layout, which beauty culminates in the area where holes #5, #6, and #7 are located, the latter being a terrific par 3 that, from the blue, requires a carry of at least 170 meters over a daunting ravine. Although well protected by bunkers, the small green is receptive.

Lido Lake Resort is a 4-star hotel that features Lido Lakes Resort & Conference, One-stop adventure hotel. Hotel with 1035 rooms, complete with a splendid view of the Lake Lido. Facilities include a restaurant and bar overlooking the lake and golf course in the hills of Mount Gede, swimming pool tennis courts as well. Lido Lakes Resort also accommodate the needs of Out Bound Training. Other available outdoor activities are mountain biking, water and jungle trekking, sky diving and the Aero Club.

Lido Golf Club can be reached within a half hour drive from Jakarta by taking the Jagorawi Highway and exit at Ciawi Jagorawi then proceed with entering Sukabumi. 

Bogor Lama was the first course in Bogor and for decades it centered to the older Bogor residents. Playing golf in here like we brings back the old colonial times, as it is located located in an area of Bogor that is home to many Dutch-colonial houses and buildings from days gone. The area is also home to huge age-old trees.

The tree-lined fairways are typical of an Old English Parkland course. It is located on relatively small plot of land, hence the holes being rather short and tight, and located close to each other.
