Driving towards the clubhouse from the entrance road located at the very top of the site, the course looks very impressive and pretty challenging. The Clubhouse is perched on a hill and overlooks the entire course.
The front nine plays predominantly away from the clubhouse and in the lower part of the site while the back nine is placed left of the clubhouse and on the higher part of the site.
The four opening holes are all par 4 holes and it is here that golfers can get a good fee for the reminder of the layout. Given the elevated tee boxes and hilly terrain, club selection and distance perception are important factors here.
On holes #4 and #5 water comes into play. The par 5 holes #7 and 9 are tricky and narrow.
The back nine seems to be playing a little easier, but don&rsquot let that fool you. As with the front nine, club selection and concentration rare the secret to playing this course well. Given the fact that there are four different tee box positions, the Gombel course is playable for golfers of all levels of skill.

Due to the fact that it&rsquos either climbing or descending, disrespectful golfers maybe consider this course to be a “goat track&rdquo. The usual golf cart could never negotiate the steep hills. Here, they are replaced with mini vans transformed into ( spacious ) carts that can hold 4 golfers and 4 caddies.
The opening hole plays uphill to a relatively small green tucked away high on a hill. Hole #2 plays steep downhill towardthe main lake ( water catchment ) on the site and is followed by the uphill par 5 hole #3.
Hole #4 sits on the highest point in the site and drops down steepy to a green that is back-dropped by the lake and the clubhouse. The par 3 hole #5 plays over the lake.
Hole #6 is again uphill and is followed by the par 5 hole #7 that plays first downhill and then finishes to an uphill green. The par 3 hole #8 is the only hole that is flat, Hole #9 plays downhill.
The second nine of this course is already projected and is located on a flat plain behind hole #4. This ( back nine ) may be the ultimate attraction of a course that is located in quite a spectacular site. Indeed, The course layout is exceptional with many holes tucked deep in valleys and others affording panoramic views. To make it simple, this course is a mountainous spectacular.
