Australian golfer/golf-course designer, Graham Marsh, designed the Gading Raya course with two things in mind: A. playability for golfers of all levels of skill, and B, to create an open and friendly layout that would make it possible for golfers to chalk up an ego boosting score. He truly succeeded in doing just that.

On holes #2, #4, #5, #7, #9, #13, and #15 water is feature, either from the tee or aat the approach. These water hazard, however, do not make playing this course more difficult, but instead, an addition to the exciting experience at this clubhouse.

At Gading Raya, you can make playing the course as easy or as difficult as you want it to be. Given the layout, Gading Raya is a course where one can boast the ego with a good score. It is indeed a very pleasant course to play, but it becomes challenging and long when prevailing winds are up. Under these conditions golfers are required to pay attention and concentrate on every shot.

In November 2010, a through renovation plan was started under the watchful eyes and attention of ZBob Moore from the JMP Golf Design Gropu, the man that designed among others the Rainbow Hills and Royale Jakarta layouts.

To get to Gading Raya from East – or South Jakarta you have to take the JORR and BSD toll roads via Pondok Indah to BSD City. From Central North – or West Jakarta take the Jakarta – Merak toll road and exit at BSD City and follow sign boards to BSD City. From BSD City follow the sign boards to the course.
