Matoa is the realization of a long-held dream. The concept of golf situated in complete harmony with its natural environment has been developed and refined over many years by a team of golfing enthusiasts, naturalist and design expert.

The golf course and country club was designed by Peter Thompson, Wolveridge & Perret. The 18 holes course is designed to the highest championship standards, representing the best of traditional golf design and the natural splendor of the tropics. The championship course is part of 60 hectare consist with exotic trees and plants. It is bounded by two majestic rivers and adjoins verdant paddy fields. 

The idea to make the course to be function as an "Arboretum" conversation and preservation area of extinct trees and plants species is the scenery for the fairway and greens of Matoa. Located in the quiet and secluded area of Ciganjur, South Jakarta will give you the fresh natural air, without the long drive. The course also equipped with other features such as driving range, luxurious restaurant, conference room, swimming pool, and locker room with sauna.

Cengkareng Golf Club is a semi-private facility that welcomes visitors alongside a roster of active members. The club has been open since 1999 and already has established itself as the club of choice for the local and expatriate communities in Jakarta. This 18-hole par 72 layout is about 30 years old and is a relatively short track, measuring only 5,870 meters from the blue tee, while the ladies have to bridge a mere 4,938 meters.

The course is conveniently located only 15 to 20 kilometers from Anyer, a popular weekend beach retreat for Jakarta people, making it a course that you could play while enjoying a weekend with the family away from the hustle and bustle of Jakarta.

During weekdays, the course caters mainly to golfers that work in and  around Cilegon, the city that is home to Krakatau Steel. During weekends it mainly caters to golfers that live and work in West Tangerang , yet another important industrial area in Banten.

The location of Permata Krakatau Hotel is very strategic. It is at the west end of Java Island, which is the connecting point between Java Island and Sumatra, that can be reached by one-hour drive by car via Jakarta - Merak highway.

As one of world's top-notch golf courses, Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) occupies a boasting 6.048-meter lush greenery field. Located along some of the most exquisite Java Sea coastlines, PIK was designed by world-renowned golf course designer, Robert Trent Jones Jr, with the unique "The Spirit of the Sea" concept that incorporates local natural beauty of the coastal wetlands to enrich an exciting golfing experience. 

From the black and blue tees the course is tough and challenging, but from the white and the ladies tee it is pretty friendly. 

Aside from golfing. Padang Golf Modern (PGM) also offers plenty of options for the sportsman and his family. Four indoor and six outdoor tennis courts are available. Indoor squash courts, a badminton court and billiard lounge. The great thing about Padang Golf Kemayoran is that it only takes five minutes to reach from Ancol Kemayoran toll road by car. The 18-hole course has a par 72 ranking for a total playing distance of 6,494 meters.

Padang Golf Kemayoran was built with highly standardized club house facilities such as golf carts, club rental, proshop, men and ladies lockers, VIP rooms and a professionally managed restaurant, available to satisfy the golfers need and sheltered driving range, chipping and putting green.

Karawang International Golf Club offers 27 holes of championship golf by way of three nine-hole courses respectively named Jasmine, Lotus and Orchid.

The layout offers a variety of tropical foliage and water in the form of lakes and streams. Japanese designer Naoyuki Saito created three different courses presenting a scope of challenges for golfers of all levels of skill.

The Orchid course features a forest layout with lots of indigenous tropical trees, whereas the Lotus course unveils a water-rich layout and The Jasmine course is a balanced combination of both water and forest.

The courses can be palyed in a “mix & match&rdquo format. All three courses are pleasant layouts with plenty of challenges for the low handicapper when palying from the championship tee. The ladies will find all three courses friendly with a total distance of less than 3,000 yards for each course.

Karawang International Golf Club is conveniently located alongside the Jakarta – Cikampek toll road. Only a 30 minutes drive from the Jakarta Interchange by express highway to West Karawang (towards Cikampek). The Club is 3 minutes away, adjacent to the Karawang Barat Interchange.

The 67-hectare Jababeka Golf & Country Club is the ideal place for recreational golfing as well as business entertaining. Designed by world-class golfer Nick Faldo, Jababeka offers the challenges of a championship course while providing an awesome panorama of lush landscaping amidst a tranquil environment. The 18-hole premier course has touches of strategic elements such as water features, and a wide choice of tees, and a large variety of pin positions. Just 30 minutes east of Jakarta, the club draws 3,500 to 4,000 golfers and guests every month, mostly Koreans, Japanese and Europeans.

The clubhouse comes with a pro-shop offering the finest in equipment and apparel, a recreational swimming pool, two hard tennis courts, a children's playground, a massage service, a restaurant, and VIP and function rooms for those important business deals.

Golfers who are keen to live right on the golf course's can opt to live in the 267-hectare golf residential estate. Designated lots will accommodate houses ranging from 500 to 5,000 square meters. Private mansions, service apartments or townhouses will be built on demand and secured by a 6km-long wall. Bret Stenson and a leading Californian architect, Klages Carter Viel, are the masterminds behind the golf residential estate.

Established at Pondok Indah, best known as the upper class mansion area, the Padang Golf Pondok Indah is a must try. This is a flat, garden course with tree-lined fairways. 

Designed by Thomson & Wolveridge, the course Is located south of Jakarta near the Pondok Cabe ( private ) Airport. Like its counterparts – Pangkalan Jati, Senayan and Rawamangun – this layout is spread over a relatively small area of land space creating tight hole locations, which in this case result in holes #10 and #16 sharing one huge green.

The front nine plays in the lower part of the site and  is wide and open. The back nine is situated in the higher part of out site where trees are an important feature.

From the blue tee box the course is challenging and especially the par holes #2, #9, #11 and #18 are good holes. The best par 5 on this course is without doubt the 530 meter long hole #11.

To get Pondok Cabe Golf, take the Pondok Indah exit on the JOOR ( TMII-Pondok Indah toll road) and turn south towards Ciputat and Pondok Cabe private airport.

Australian golfer/golf-course designer, Graham Marsh, designed the Gading Raya course with two things in mind: A. playability for golfers of all levels of skill, and B, to create an open and friendly layout that would make it possible for golfers to chalk up an ego boosting score. He truly succeeded in doing just that.

On holes #2, #4, #5, #7, #9, #13, and #15 water is feature, either from the tee or aat the approach. These water hazard, however, do not make playing this course more difficult, but instead, an addition to the exciting experience at this clubhouse.

At Gading Raya, you can make playing the course as easy or as difficult as you want it to be. Given the layout, Gading Raya is a course where one can boast the ego with a good score. It is indeed a very pleasant course to play, but it becomes challenging and long when prevailing winds are up. Under these conditions golfers are required to pay attention and concentrate on every shot.

In November 2010, a through renovation plan was started under the watchful eyes and attention of ZBob Moore from the JMP Golf Design Gropu, the man that designed among others the Rainbow Hills and Royale Jakarta layouts.

To get to Gading Raya from East – or South Jakarta you have to take the JORR and BSD toll roads via Pondok Indah to BSD City. From Central North – or West Jakarta take the Jakarta – Merak toll road and exit at BSD City and follow sign boards to BSD City. From BSD City follow the sign boards to the course.

Halim Golf Course is owned by the Indonesian Air Force. There are two courses in Halim following Halim I and Halim II. Both of the courses have different characters. Halim I course is shorter than Halim II and has tricky character while Halim II course is long and exhausting.

Halim I offers two 18-holes courses and has flat forest layout with lots of tall trees. Occupying 6048 meters plot land, there is plenty room to play back from adjacent fairways and thus this is perfect a perfect course for the beginner or "not yet so skilled" golfer. It is a well maintained course with fairways from which it is easy to make crispy and clean shot.

To get to Halim Golf Course, you have to take the Jagorawi toll road and exit at Taman Mini toll gate then follow the signs to Halim airport. Look for Halim Golf sign on your left.

Halim II located besides Halim I. Halim II is a 6553 meter long and has relatively hilly forest layout with lots of undulations, tall trees, a fair share of well placed bunkers and enough water to make you loose some balls. Halim II has somewhat tighter fairways and smaller greens, Halim II plays bit more difficult than Halim I.

To get to Halim Golf Course, you have to take the Jagorawi toll road and exit at Taman Mini toll gate then follow the signs to Halim airport. Look for Halim Golf sign on your left.

Located at Jl Jati Indah Raya 1, Pangkalan Jati, Limo Sub-district (Depok), Padang Golf Pangkalan Jati is owned by Navy and PT Preton Nusantara based on Act of Notary of Soetomo Ramelan S.H No 5 on August 31st 1988 in Jakarta. Total holes in this club are 18 holes while holes #1, #2, #8, and #9 are located in the hilly part of the site and are separated from remaining 14 holes by the access road to residential town of Cinere.

The Pondok Indah Golf Course (PIGC) is a true golfing experience that represent harmony between man and nature.

Established on August 17, 1976, PIGC offers golfers a location where the architect has seemingly done little to disturb the natural harmony - where the golf course blends into its environment as though it had always been there. 

As one of the requirement of the course design, the architect was asked to design a course with a layout for major championships (even World Cup) but capable of offerring pleasure and a fair test for both low handicap players and beginners.

Thanks to world-class golf architecture, Robert Trent Jones Jr. With a philosophy of overall harmony, variety of situation and excitement without deception, he has created a course that can give pleasure to all kinds of golfer.

Each game will gives opportunities for not only measuring your skills against the course, but also enjoying the beauty of the natural surrounding by playing in a relaxed setting of lush greenery and tall trees as well as in fresh air carrying the scent of flowers and the songs of birds.

The circuit returns to the club after nine holes then sets out again to follow a reverse circuit within the earlier one. The design is not only unusual but through clever use of the meandering tributaries of the Grogol River, plus astute strategic bunkering, rewards accuracy while punishing the wayward player. A fine course, which builds up to a superb finish.

Some notable names, such as Jonny Miller, Hammond Floyd and David Graham, have praised its tough but fair hazards as well as its strategic layout and superb condition. It is an excellent course to test all grades of golfers - from beginner to champion - and one which helps the members get the most fro their game. 

PIGC is within easy reach from any part of Jakarta. It is approximately 30 minutes of driving from the capital's business district or 45 minutes from Jakarta International Airport, Soekarno-Hatta.
